Hirado Kaijyo Hotel, Hirado

I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The location is superb, offering fantastic views over the bay, although overlooking a peculiarly constructed hospital. The service was top-notch, with staff who were kind, gracious, and happy to assist. The dining experience was among the best I've had in Japan, with a mix of Western and local cuisine. The rooms were spacious, featuring a traditional tatami area with a hot water pot and Japanese tea that added a lovely touch to the stay.

The ryokan offers standard yet clean and minimalist rooms with small adjoining areas for bathing and using the toilet. The staff was accommodating and made an effort to enhance our stay by providing an upgraded room due to the closure of the onsens. The location, though slightly remote, offers beautiful views of the ocean and access to the city center. The dining experience provided a mix of Western and local cuisine, with the opportunity to prepare bacon and eggs personally.
